Life Re-set Checklist
Wrapped in delicate layers of daily habit, thought and life, we make meaning from our experiences which transpire into thoughts and ideas; and this is the aroma of life. Our daily habits, relationships, environment and home form the deep roots of our lives. Without roots planted deep in soil, blossoming ensues.
Yet without foundations in life, there is no genuine growth. The foundations of are life are most often hidden in our daily beliefs, practices, habits and thoughts, but they are the platform upon which we build our lives.
In dormant seasons, seeds spend energy building roots. Are you spending the unseen day-to-day (your core beliefs, your identity, what matters to you, your character) well? Enjoy a season of pouring into the ‘hidden’ side of life. The flowering will come and it will be more beautiful as a result. Do you need to uproot fully? What is the health of your roots? Transforming our life and ‘re-setting’ our daily living requires a deep detox.
Our life is more than the blossom; my life is also the roots. And without roots, there is no fruit.
Are the roots always visible, tangible? No, but they are there, and they are the quiet, deep foundation upon which we build our lives.
I hope you enjoy diving deep onto the roots of your everyday habits with this life re-set checklist.
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.” Matthew 7:24-27
